What you need to know...
Students are required to pass the classroom portion with 80% or more and achieve independent driving 75% of the time during the in-car driving lesson hours. Certificates are issued to students achieving the required standards.
We will provide pick-up at your home if you live in the Cochrane area. If you live outside of Cochrane, pick-ups are provided at our driving school or pre-agreed place. We will work closely with you to plan a schedule that will complement your current commitments. Your schedule can be modified to meet your needs.

In-person Classroom (Class 5 Basic and Class 7 Learners prep)
Consists of 15 hrs classroom time. This is usually runs for a whole weekend. Cochrane Driving Academy uses the Alberta Transport approved curriculum. A mark of 80% or more is required to pass the course (a re-sit appointment is available). Classroom sessions are held at The Academy, #7 214 Grande Blvd W, Cochrane - (inside the Cochrane Registries building). Refreshments are available and various food establishments are nearby to purchase lunch/snacks. Student study books are provided. (Price includes GST.)

Brush-Up Lesson (Class 5)
Brush-up lessons are advantageous if you need to make sure you are at a safe and suitable standard before applying for your road test. Students who have completed their training months prior often find that a brush-up lesson confirms they are ready to take the test or highlights areas where they need additional practice.
